Our building's rooftop has glorious views and lots of neat equipment

Sea ice at the edge caught in ocean eddies. Floes are so small near the edge that it looks continuous - but it's not. The appears to be an abrupt transition to floes that are well resolved in this image. Our work aims to explain this transition.
